In November, Fuze Night brought together people who were keen to learn, meet and share their ideas, to build better together. We heard from Think Big Communications, Pangdemonium, UN Women and Jia Foundation share inspiring stories of their work, and took part in a giving experiment, organised by The Social Co. for Giving Week.
Fuze Night October 2016
We jointly hosted women leaders in social innovation, in conjunction with the Young Women's Leadership Connection's Ladies' Night - and heard from NVPC, the Awesome Foundation, The Social Pantry and BLESS - Bringing Love to Every Single Soul.

Our Fuze Night August edition featured the folks that are building social movements in Singapore and beyond. Martin Tan, from SMU's Institute of Societal Leadership, talked on what it takes to lead society. Mizah Rahman and Daniel Ong talked on engaging communities to different ways to make them stronger. Lastly, Paul Foster shared his journey's into philanthropy from a personal space.
Kari Tamura, SAMASAMA @ Fuze Night July 2016
Together with an artist Calvin Tay, Kari Tamura founded the SAMASAMA initiative - which aims to reshape the narrative from sympathy to empathy for migrant workers in Singapore. She shared learnings from the engagement with migrant workers, partner organization HealthServe and the process of creating the exhibition in Westlake Dormitory.
Kari spoke at Fuze Night July 2016, and funds raised during the evening were channelled to Babes Pregnancy Crisis Support.

Scott Lai, Paint the Town Red @ Fuze Night July 2016
Scott developed Paint the Town Red to raise awareness of HIV amongst youth in Singapore. Statistics indicate that low testing rates are especially prevalent amongst heterosexuals, and youths surveyed stated that they know very little about HIV support services.
Scott spoke at Fuze Night July 2016, and funds raised during the evening were channelled to Babes Pregnancy Crisis Support.

A large crowd packed Artistry for the Fuze Night June event, as all present heard from Alvin Li (Givo), Denise Chow (Yellow Ribbon Project), Peter Draw and Avishek Das (Twitter). A newly-formed musical collaboration, LILO - our very own Rebekah Lin and Lin Jiahe provided relaxing entertainment for the evening.

Wong Li-Lin shared her personal journey into making a difference and the collaborations that she has had the privilege to work on. She draws on her experience as a Royal Ballet trained dancer and her experience since then to provide guidance on personal wellness and empowerment issues, advising companies and non-profits on how to foster this further.
